My involvement with Aveda education is pretty extensive. I teach at the Master Jams, I teach individual classes, I’m part of the shows they do, part of the shoots—I really have great involvement.

I think the most important thing is: how do I constantly keep my staff energized? And we work really hard at doing that, but a lot of times, it’s best done by someone else. So Aveda has always been the place where my staff goes.

At our school, the education that we’re able to give to the student that’s coming into the business and then going out into the workforce is incredible. Because it’s not just at the beginner level, it’s at the intermediate and advanced levels too.
