The tipping point came when I tapped into the Aveda Institute. The salon grew faster. And that's what turned it over for us.
My first salon was small—1700 square feet in Chevy Chase, outside Washington, D.C.
I had no idea about business when I entered the network. But Aveda brought in the Business College. They did not make you wrong, or look like an idiot. They just presented this wonderful way of looking at your business and growing it. It turns me on and keeps me motivated.
Every time I go to an Aveda event I meet someone in the network who inspires me. I listen to someone speak about a new plan they have. It energizes me, and I go back and do it in my salon. And it works!
